Using a hypersonic scaler, all stains, tartar and calculus deposits are gently removed from the surfaces of your teeth above and below the gums. Hypersonic scalers are safe and painless sound waves to break up plaque and calculus.
Most patients do not feel any pain or discomfort from this cleaning.
Cleanings are recommended every six months or as often as 3 months for patients at risk for periodontal disease, those who smoke, or are diabetic.
If periodontal disease exists, cleanings are scheduled for two to four visits.
